Team Nitto to compete in the NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill

Nitto 325 E0 Entry for the 2008 25 Hours of ThunderhillNitto Tire will attempt to repeat their E0 class-winning performance in the NASA 2008 25 Hours of Thunderhill. The 4-driver team of Brett Strom, Mickey Miller, Travis Weltzien and Ralph Warren will drive the BMW E46 325 on Nitto NT01 tires - the same car and tires as last year's winning team.

"The driver line up we have is like a who's who of NASA and BMW CCA Club Racing. They are all multiple-time race winners, have tremendous enduro experience and are all excellent in the rain and at night." said Scott Lang, Crew Chief for the Nitto 325.

"The NT01 is the perfect enduro tire." said driver Ralph Warren. "It is durable, quick and in the rain, the NT01 has the right tread pattern to shed the moisture. It will be great to not have to change tires if the weather conditions vary." said Ralph.

Car owner and lead driver Brett Strom said "Because we won the NASA 6-Hours of Buttonwillow earlier in the year, we are guaranteed a great starting position for the race. This will allow us to continue to focus on our enduro-pace car setup, fuel usage calculations and pit stop practice.  This will give each driver a chance at driving at night during qualifying - without the need to do a fast qualifying lap." said Strom.

Mickey Miller & Travis Weltzien talk about strategy... "Although we have a very fast car, we are going to set a reasonable pace and keep the car in good shape the best we can.  When the sun comes up we'll see where we are and can adjust our strategy from there."

With support from Bullet Performance, CIP Real Estate, Sparco, StopTech Brakes, Split Second and Diffsonline, the team looks forward to competing in NASA's premier event.
