Team Castrol-Speed Trapp Racing brings back a previous winning BMW M3 to the NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill to compete in the E0 class. No strangers to endurance sports car racing, Team Castrol-STR will utilize experience and a talented driver line-up to compete at the 2008 NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill presented by the U.S Air Force, December 5th - 7th, at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, CA.The driver line-up for Team Castrol-STR features diverse backgrounds with experience in open-wheel and sports car racing. Team owners Navid Kahangi, Tony Zwain and Sean Trapp of Speed Trapp Racing will be joined by Filipino racecar drivers Robbie Montinola, Angelo Barretto, and Gaby Dela Merced. Kahangi has been a competitor in various sports cars series including GTS, BMWCCA, Spec E30 and won the 12 Hours of Thunderhill in E0 and overall in 2002. Zwain's experience includes spec E30, NASA TT, and NASA endurance races. Montinola brings professional racing experience in Star Mazda, Formula BMW, Barber Dodge Pro Series and is a driver coach for Skip Barber. Barretto brings extensive sports car experience to the team, competing in the ALMS, FIA GT, and LeMans Classic. Dela Merced most recently competed in the Asian Formula 3 series and has raced in Formula BMW Asia, and Formula Toyota. Team Castrol-STR has a very capable driver line-up and will utilize the strengths of all its drivers to drive a solid race.

The NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill presented by the U.S. Air Force is the longest endurance race in the United States. Sanctioned by NASA, the National Auto Sport Association, the 25 Hours of Thunderhill features large fields, nonstop action and prestige of the event attract top teams and drivers from across the country to compete in this race. The 25 Hours of Thunderhill takes place at Thunderhill Raceway Park, a few hours north of the San Francisco Bay Area.
